Based on nondenominational Christian principles, Merrie-Woode operates a structured program in which girls sign up for as many as eight activities and attend classes in the morning and the afternoon (except when on trips or engaged in special projects). Campers make selections from an array of artistic and outdoor pursuits. Hiking, backpacking, camping, trail riding, rock climbing, and white-water canoeing and kayaking excursions are integral to the program.
