Held on a different college campus each year, this program of the Mathematics Foundation of America is an intensive session of advanced math work for motivated high schoolers. An enrichment program, Mathcamp addresses advanced and unusual topics in pure and applied math through various formats: faculty-taught courses lasting anywhere from a few days to five weeks, lectures and seminars conducted by distinguished guests, math contests and problem-solving sessions, and hands-on workshops and individual projects. While students spend some time each evening completing homework, there is also time for recreational pursuits.
