CSSI enables rising high school juniors and seniors to engage in hands-on scientific research, in groups of 10 to 12 students each, alongside Carleton College faculty and undergraduate research assistants. During the three-week session, participants also rotate through three weeklong courses in such areas as neuroscience, genetics, chemistry and animal behavior. The collaborative guided research project culminates in a presentation at the CSSI Research Symposium at program's end.
