Cazadero Music Camp | Summer Programs

Cazadero Music Camp

Located in an old-growth redwood grove in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County, Cazadero provides music instruction for young people and families. Students in grades 5-8 who have at least a year of prior musical training may enroll in the Young Musicians session; campers take classes in technique and music theory while also playing in an ensemble. The middle school session (grades 6-8), for which two years of primary instrument instruction is a prerequisite, encourages further development of ensemble skills through participation in chamber groups, orchestra, symphonic band and campwide chorus. A more challenging program is in place for junior high students (grades 7-9), while accomplished players with at least four years of musical training refine their skills during the high school session (grades 9-12).
