A collaborative effort between Columbia and the University of Barcelona, this three-week enrichment program takes place at the Spanish university. Participants examine the history, the art and the urban development of Barcelona while also enriching their understanding of how European communities forge local, regional, national and international identities. A Spanish-language workshop (offered at all ability levels) supplements the three-course curriculum. Boys and girls devote two Fridays to enriching, program-related excursions. In lieu of grades, pupils receive written evaluations from their instructors upon successful completion of the program.
