Colvig operates five distinct programs to meet the needs of campers of various ages: Homestead (entering grades 3-5), featuring the only two-week sessions; Silver Saddle and Silver Spruce (grades 6-8), separate girls' and boys' programs that share some coed activities; Outpost (grades 9 and 10), in which campers spend three-quarters of their stay on wilderness trips; and Pathfinding, a wilderness adventure for campers entering grades 10-12. Each emphasizes outdoor living and skills in a noncompetitive environment. Expedition trips include visits to Utah, New Mexico and Colorado for river rafting, canoeing, archaeology, ghost town exploration, backpacking and rock climbing. Colvig offers a two-week session option for seven- to 10-year-olds only; older campers must enroll for four weeks.
