Summer College provides an opportunity for academically talented high school students to preview university life and earn college credit by taking regular Cornell summer session courses. In addition to taking classes, all pupils participate in a career exploration seminar that allows them to learn more about a particular field. Extracurricular activities include intramural sports, musical and dance groups, the Summer College newspaper and yearbook, community service projects and weekend dances.
