Held at Stanford University and the University of California-Berkeley, the Emerging Writers Institute seeks to develop students' imaginative writing across the literary genres of fiction, nonfiction, playwriting and poetry. Daily writing workshops, one-on-one instructor evaluations, group editing sessions and creative presentations of student work focus upon both the technical and the artistic aspects of writing. Participants benefit from the literary culture of Berkeley and the Bay Area.
