Conducted on roughly two dozen college campuses across the US for members of traditionally underserved and underrepresented populations, these two-week residential camps seek to build students' mathematics and science skills, provide a preview of college life, and stimulate pupils' interest in science and engineering. Classes address problem solving, research, writing and communicational skills. The curriculum features biology, chemistry, physics, environmental, earth science, engineering and design concepts, and field excursions provide enrichment. Each college location designates the school districts and geographic areas from which students may apply.
