Flying Moose teaches camping skills by means of canoe, hiking and mountain climbing trips. Beginners go on easy climbs, while advanced climbers take extended backpacking trips along the Appalachian Trail and two-week wilderness trips down the Allagash, St. Croix or Moose rivers. Traditional land and water activities take place at base camp.
