Iowa State University—Office of Precollegiate Programs for Talented and Gifted Summer Programs

Overview

OPPTAG conducts several precollege programs for gifted students. Adventures! allows day students who have completed grades 2-6 to choose from enrichment courses in various subjects. CY-TAG, enrolling pupils entering grades 8-11, combines three-week high school enrichment classes with social, recreational and cultural activities. A third program, Explorations!, provides rising eighth through tenth graders with one week of intensive instruction in a chosen subject. In lieu of a letter grade, students receive a written evaluation from the instructor upon completion of the course.
