LPS offers two distinct programs for students interested in using their valuable summer time to develop academic, language and standardized test-taking skills. Our small class sizes ensure that teachers get to know each student's personality and areas of academic interest. Our teachers teach beyond the test, and our program components make room for intellectual, academic, emotional, and social growth. Students have fun with engaging academic activities, weekend excursions, trips to the amusement park and local shopping venues, and an end-of-program graduation ceremony. There are also college campus tours at Boston area schools such as Harvard, Boston College, Boston University, and Northeastern University.
We offer three 2-week sessions for either day or boarding students. Come for one or more sessions. Each session can be a different subject. We teach SAT, SSAT and TOEFL test prep. We also offer an Intensive Academic English program.
The SAT program at LPS is a transformative experience for our students. We're located just 25 minutes from Boston, giving students the chance to experience the historic city and the opportunities for education it provides. Our program helps students develop the necessary skills to do well not only on the SAT, but also in their academic careers. Students learn to comprehend difficult texts and write more clearly, cohesively, and coherently to demonstrate their critical thinking, reading, application, and analytical abilities.
The SSAT program is designed for mature, academically talented middle school students planning to apply to private secondary schools in the U.S. We organize our SSAT Prep around instruction in reading, analogies, writing, mathematics, and problem-solving skills that the SSAT measures.
