Maine College of Art Pre-College


Pre-College at MECA provides an opportunity for students who have completed sophomore, junior or senior year to earn college credit for intensive studio arts study. Pupils choose one of four majors for in-depth pursuit: painting, sculpture, ceramics or graphic design. All participants enroll in foundation classes in drawing, art history and two-dimensional and three-dimensional design. The teaching staff comprises professional artists and college instructors from MECA and art schools around the country. Lectures, field trips and visiting artist workshops enrich the program.
