Michigan Debate Institutes


With a faculty consisting of well-regarded high school and college coaches and top-tier intercollegiate debaters, these programs teach basic and advanced debating techniques to high schoolers. The three-week Michigan National Debate Institute emphasizes the development of well-organized arguments in national policy debate areas. The four-week Michigan Classic policy debate workshop provides communication skills and theory instruction for students wishing to debate at an advanced level in the coming school year. Finally, the exclusive Seven Week Program, which enrolls rising juniors and seniors, combines rigorous debate instruction with the university's extensive research facilities.
