This laboratory experience enables qualified high school upperclassmen to engage in biological research. Students meet with mentors to plan their projects, then spend the rest of the fellowship conducting experiments, collecting data, analyzing results, and updating their lab notebooks and research portfolios. Participants meet weekly to discuss their projects and listen to guest speakers. Schools must nominate interested applicants. Fellowships cover all travel and housing expenses and pay a weekly stipend.
