Stressing adventure and personal growth through challenging wilderness activities, Outward Bound Canada's programs center around extended canoe expeditions, tracing the remote Indian and trapper routes of northwestern Ontario. Critical-thinking skills, map and compass navigation, environmental awareness and first-aid experience are integrated into the overall Outward Bound educational philosophy. A mountaineering program explores the Rocky Mountains of Alberta. Participants in some programs may earn high school credit in certain programs.
