Serving economically disadvantaged children primarily from Greater St. Louis, Sherwood Forest operates three distinct summer programs. Children ages 7-8 take part in a structured, six-day minicamp designed to introduce them to summer camping. The program for 9- to 10-year-olds helps children develop new skills, enhance interpersonal relationships and learn about various program options. A third program assists adolescents ages 11-16 with leadership skills development by exposing them to various wilderness camping and team-building experiences.
