Tennessee Governor's School for the Arts


Professional visual and performing artists lead these intensive programs for Tennessee residents in visual arts, dance, filmmaking, theater and music. Visual arts media include clay, drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, computer imagery, photography and video. The dance program covers ballet and pointe technique, modern and jazz. Filmmakers produce a five- to 10-minute narrative. Music students choose from orchestra, wind, chorale, piano and guitar ensembles. The theater program develops both technical and performance skills. All boys and girls attend nightly demonstrations, slide shows, films and lectures.
