Conducted by University of Evansville faculty and staff, UE Options consists of two sessions for girls interested in learning more about engineering as an area of potential future study. Middle school sessions enroll pupils about to enter grades 6-8, while the high school Options program accepts girls preparing for grades 9-11. Course work comprises short classes, plant tours to observe engineers and computer scientists at work, and recreational pursuits with participants and college student counselors. Options also acquaints students with career possibilities for individuals with a degree in engineering or computer science.
