High school students with exceptional promise preview university life, pursue academic interests, and discover career opportunities in one of 18 academic tracks. Enriched with field trips and guest speakers, credit-bearing courses are taught by University of Maryland (UMD) faculty and lead to transferable college credit. Students participate in activities which provide an overview of UMD’s exceptional resources such as libraries, computer labs, and recreational, residential, and dining facilities. Program includes a campus fair, seminars on college life, and physical activity workshops. Social activities include mixers, a talent show, intramural sports, movie nights, swimming, and sightseeing excursions to Washington, DC.
