Sponsored by Penn's Wharton School of Business, LBW enrolls a select group of rising high school seniors who have an interest in the business world. Students engage in classroom discussions about leadership, business ethics, entrepreneurship, accounting, management and economics; attend lectures and presentations by Wharton faculty and guest speakers; visit business enterprises and converse with businesspeople in the areas of finance, entrepreneurship, entertainment, real estate and retail; work in teams to design, prepare and formulate a business plan for evaluation by a panel of venture capitalists; receive coaching on communicational and team-building skills from six upper-level Wharton undergraduates; and improve their leadership skills through collaborative teamwork.
