PAVE seeks to strengthen the academic skills of students planning to enter a college engineering, pre-medicine/healthcare, science or technology program. Rising high school seniors expecting to take Advanced Placement or honors math or science courses stand to benefit, and the five-week session may also help pupils improve their ACT, AP, SAT or TOEFL scores. The program addresses problem-solving, technical writing, computer application and laboratory skills through experimentation. Participants also gain an introduction to college life.
