VISIONS combines construction-based and other community service, cross-cultural living and learning, and outdoor exploration; certain programs also feature language immersion in French or Spanish. Small service groups (with a maximum of 25 students and six staff) live and work together in communities in native villages of Alaska and Montana, the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Peru, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, the British Virgin Islands, Dominica, the Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, Vietnam and Ghana. Participants in language immersion programs must have completed two years of foreign language study.
