What is a B.S./M.D. program?

Todd JohnsonTodd Johnson

B.S./M.D. programs allow seniors in high school to apply to college and medical school right from high school. There are about 80 of these programs throughout the United States. These programs last from six to eight years, depending on the program. As you might expect, these are some of the most competitive programs in the country, with acceptance rates below 10%. While very competitive, they are a great option for students who have an early commitment to becoming a doctor.
