For more than 70 years, Thunderbird School of Global Management has been the premier school for people seeking a career in international business management—and for companies looking to hire high-quality leaders.

Since the beginning Thunderbird has been unique—its graduates, by virtue of their experience and relationships from the school, are differentiated from their peers.

T-birds stand out
Educating global leaders in the intricacies of international business and management is the exclusive focus of Thunderbird School of Global Management. Now a unit of the Arizona State University Knowledge Enterprise, Thunderbird is supported and enhanced by the broad educational resources of America’s largest and most innovative public university.

Thunderbird offers a flagship degree, the Master of Global Management, that educates students in the core competencies of international business with an additional emphasis in the cultural skills necessary for success in a volatile global marketplace. In building on that core strength, Thunderbird also offers executive education programs that meet the marketplace demand for greater specialization and customization. In conjunction with ASU, Thunderbird now offers two undergraduate degrees: the Bachelor of Global Management and the Bachelor of Science in International Trade.

Master of Arts in Global Affairs and Management
The MAGAM provides students specialized cross-training in international affairs and the fundamentals of global management; it is a program designed for future leaders in nonprofit, governmental, or international business roles. The MAGAM is delivered in a four-semester cohort starting each August. The core curriculum includes an optional internship.

Curriculum includes global accounting, finance, and marketing competency; global decision making under uncertainty; managing people from a global perspective; cross-cultural communications; and global strategy.

Master of Global Management
The MGM, while sharing many elements of a traditional MBA, offers a more specialized international experience for students interested in global business careers and for businesses seeking to train talent for overseas international assignments.

Along with accounting, marketing, finance, and core business competencies, Thunderbird’s MGM degree offers training in corporate social responsibility and global management strategies and requires a Thunderbird Experiential Practicum delivered outside the student’s country of origin.
