The University of Northern Colorado is a public university. Founded as a Normal school in 1890, it gained university status in 1970. Programs are offered through six colleges: Education and Behavioral Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Monfort College of Business, Natural and Health Sciences, Performing and Visual Arts, and University College. Its 243-acre campus is located in Greeley, 50 miles north of Denver.
