The University of Northern Colorado is a public university. Founded as a Normal school in 1890, it gained university status in 1970. Programs are offered through the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Monfort College of Business, Natural and Health Sciences, Performing and Visual Arts, and University College. Its 236-acre campus is located in Greeley, 50 miles north of Denver.
