Valdosta State University is a public university in Valdosta, Georgia, United States. Started in 1906 as an institution dedicated to educating women, today VSU is proud to be a University System of Georgia school with a diverse student body. VSU offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs across various disciplines.

Academics
Academics at VSU are organized into six colleges: the Colleges of the Arts, Arts & Sciences, Business Administration, Education & Human Services, Nursing & Health Sciences, and the Graduate School. These Colleges offer nearly 200 academic programs leading to associate, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees as well as options to add a certification, minor, endorsement, or specialization to that degree.

Learning beyond the classroom
At Valdosta State, you can participate in research or practice with faculty members as early as your first year. You will utilize technology from the hospital room to the newsroom and everywhere in between while gaining professional-level knowledge in your field.

Study on campus or abroad
VSU is committed to providing students with real-world learning opportunities. The VSU Center for International Programs offers many inexpensive and hassle-free opportunities for students to travel and study overseas. You may want to spend a summer abroad through a VSU or University System of Georgia program, or you may wish to participate in our semester or year-long exchange programs.
