Graduate and professional studies
Waynesburg University has emerged as a leader in adult education in the western Pennsylvania region with a focus on quality academic programs that are designed to serve the working professional. Conveniently spread across the Pittsburgh region, with off-campus centers in Cranberry, Monroeville, and Southpointe, Waynesburg offers graduate programs in Business, Criminal Investigation, Counseling, Education, and Nursing.

All programs are offered full or part time. In-person classes meet one night a week for four hours, with rolling start dates throughout the year.

The Master of Business Administration and Master of Education in Instructional Technology programs are both available 100% online.

Each program is taught by experienced industry professionals, including financial consultants and certified public accountants, forensic experts, health care administrators, human resource specialists, lawyers, and licensed counselors.

Our programs
Master of Business Administration—Accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), Waynesburg’s MBA degree is offered 100% online or in a classroom environment. The flexible courses provide a real-world overview of business organization and enterprise by developing and refining your business knowledge and skills in areas such as accounting, economics, finance, management information systems, marketing, organizational behavior, and statistics.

Master of Arts in Criminal Investigation—Waynesburg’s unique preparatory program is designed to allow criminal justice professionals the opportunity to hone investigative skills while advancing leadership potential in law enforcement. The program provides a real-world overview of advanced criminal investigation and crime scene management.

Master of Arts in Counseling—Waynesburg’s counselor education program has become nationally acclaimed and accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) of the American Counseling Association (ACA). The program offers two specialized tracks: ClinicalMental Health Counseling and Addiction Counseling. Waynesburg’s program prepares professional counselors who are caring, competent, and committed to helping others.

PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision—Waynesburg’s acclaimed doctoral counselor program prepares individuals for employment as counselor educators in colleges and universities, as well as leaders in addictions counseling, clinical mental health counseling, or school counseling. The program provides students with the information and skills required to create new knowledge, lead organizations, and carry out scholarly research.

Advanced Nursing Programs—Accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Waynesburg’s advanced nursing programs feature the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degrees. Each program is designed specifically to meet the needs of working professionals who are motivated to meet personal educational goals and have a desire to enhance their career options. The curriculum is structured in a user-friendly format that allows nurses to balance work and family responsibilities with their academics.
