Open your mind. Change our world. Live greater.
As Philadelphia's only Jesuit Catholic university, Saint Joseph's University has been providing an inclusive and welcoming community since 1851. Our Jesuit traditions provide an openness for people of all backgrounds, and we seek to support our students and community through our shared values.
Dating back 500 years, the University presents more than just an education—it opens the door to more. With top-ranked programs, accomplished faculty, and a Jesuit tradition of academic excellence, Saint Joseph’s prepares students to thrive in all aspects of life. From professional success to personal growth to social impact, the value of a Saint Joseph’s education is immeasurable. When our students aren’t learning in the classroom or volunteering, they can be found experiencing the real world. In fact, 98% of students complete at least one experiential learning opportunity, and 97% of the Class of 2018 were employed, pursuing graduate study, or participating in full-time volunteer programs within six months of graduation. When you step foot on campus, you’ll see this is a community like no other.
Our students take their civic and community duties seriously, even while in school. Community service is one of the most important facets of life at Saint Joseph's University. Our Hawks spend their semester breaks volunteering in El Paso, Appalachia, and Guatemala, proving that being individuals with and for others isn’t simply an ideal—it’s a way of life.
To start your journey of becoming a Hawk, we offer campus visits year-round. Schedule yours at sju.edu/visit. For high school seniors, we offer four application deadlines to choose from, including Early Decision and Early Action. Learn more at sju.edu/apply.
