School of Health & Behavioral Sciences
The School of Health & Behavioral Sciences prepares you to become a highly skilled and compassionate health care professional. Our programs provide a strong foundation in the sciences combined with practical, hands-on experiences. Starting your first year on campus, you’ll spend a lot of time in the lab engaging in experiments and simulations. You’ll work with real patients and lab samples, learning how to think on your feet and refining skills in problem-solving, communication, and teamwork. In addition, you’ll find abundant opportunities for community service, research, travel, and involvement in student organizations. College of Pharmacy
The Raabe (pronounced Ray-Bee) College of Pharmacy prepares leaders and innovators for the profession of pharmacy. Our alumni practice in many different health care, pharmacy, and business settings and are found in boardrooms, C-suites, ICUs, and community pharmacies across the US and throughout the world. A Raabe College education equips students with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed in the rapidly evolving field of pharmacy as well as the soft skills employers demand. The College has outstanding faculty who provide a personalized approach to the education and training of future pharmacists. Our faculty practice in diverse patient care settings, and our rural location and focus on rural health care provides ample opportunities for faculty and students to have an impact on the health of our community. Our faculty’s research allows students to sharpen their problem-solving skills and develop as clinician scientists while studying topics like protecting cardiac muscle during a heart attack, identifying anti-cancer medicines in wild potatoes, and the impact pharmacists can make on the health and wellness of our community.
