Leading research
Mississippi State is one of the nation’s leading research universities, ranked in the top 100 by the National Science Foundation—consistently in the top 10 for Agricultural Science, the top 50 for Engineering, and the top 25 for Social Sciences. Hands-on experience
Many of our programs incorporatehands-on experience inside and outside the classroom through internships and cooperative education. Ourhighly ranked Architecture school utilizes a unique studio-based curriculum consisting of process, critique, production, and representation.

Affordable
MSU is affordable for both residents and non-residents. Out-of-state students can qualify for Non-resident Tuition Academic Excellence Scholarships; these awards are based on competitive high school GPAs and ACT/SAT scores. Prospective students can also qualify for other merit-based academic, leadership, and service scholarships. Mississippi State’s priority date for Competitive, Private, and Departmental Scholarships is December 1.
