Character. Scholarship. Leadership.

IWU students live and learn within a Christ-centered culture that is committed to disciple making and influencing one another to become more like Jesus in every area of life. IWU is intentional about helping students discover their God-given individuality and life calling, and to grow in kindness, humility, belonging, integrity, and courage—our community values.

About an hour’s drive from the two largest cities in Indiana, IWU offers more than 80 undergraduate and 30+ graduate degrees. The University’s academic programs are nationally known for their curricular innovation, use of hands-on learning experiences and student success rates. For example, our nursing majors have consistently exceeded the NCLEX national pass rate for the past 14 years.

Students run the school's coffee shop, McConn Coffee Co.; conduct, publish and present original research at academic and professional conferences; and travel the globe for academic studies, mission work and performances. Our Wildcat athletic teams have won 188 Crossroads League championships, 25 Crossroads League—sports trophies, 441 NAIA All-Americans and 16‑ national championships.

IWU is known for developing students in character, scholarship and leadership. We can’t wait to have you visit campus to discover more! We welcome you to tour IWU in person to experience the genuine community of our campus with students and faculty. Indiana Wesleyan University's main campus is located in Marion, Indiana, midway between Indianapolis and Fort Wayne along I-69. Established in 1920 as Marion College, IWU operated as an undergraduate liberal arts institution until 1985. Since then, IWU has transformed into a student-focused regional university. Our main campus is home to over 3,000 students who attend IWU's traditional four-year liberal arts college and residential graduate school.

Distinctive Programs:
Life Calling and Career Office

At Indiana Wesleyan University, we believe everyone has a life calling. Discovering that calling is a journey. We would like to travel with you through the process providing resources, tools, and support. Your calling is more than your major or career, it is about who you are and what you can contribute to the world.

We are available to support students throughout their entire academic career. All students are eligible for free life coaching by one of our trained, certified life coaches. Life Calling & Career serves as an academic home for students who enter the university without a major and are exploring their options. For many students, the Exploratory program is a wise choice for taking time to make an informed decision and avoid changing majors which can be costly with time and money wasted. Indiana Wesleyan University provides a variety of Life Calling courses for students to further explore their purpose.
