This program provides assistance to Texas students with financial need. Applicants must be Texas residents, non-residents or foreign students and show financial need. Applicants must be registered with the Selective Service or be exempt from this requirement. Public colleges or universities in Texas make TPEG awards from their own resources. No individual award may be more than the student's financial need. Each institution sets its own maximum award amounts. To apply, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The financial aid office will notify the applicant of eligibility.
