It’s time to dream big
Remember that question you were always asked as a kid: What do you want to be when you grow up? How would you answer if you were asked today?
At Chaminade, you’ll find educational pathways that will spark your imagination, interest, and curiosity. After all, we don’t just educate students for successful careers but for life and service. Our graduates are healers and mentors, change-makers and discoverers. They’re taking on the world in big and small ways, armed with an education built on critical thinking, relationship building, and self-reflection.
Chaminade boasts a host of leading academic programs from natural sciences to education to fine arts, but they’re all geared toward helping you thrive and seek out opportunities to build a more just and peaceful world. Because we know that the only way to change the future for the better is to teach a better future today. So go ahead, dream big—we’ll help you make it happen.
Make yourself at home
Oahu is known as “The Gathering Place”—and there’s little wonder why. It’s the most populated of the major Hawaiian islands and home to the state’s capital city. Millions of visitors from across the US mainland and Asia flock to Oahu annually for its incredible surf, balmy climate, and culturally and historically significant sites.
Chaminade is nestled on a hilly 65-acre campus in Kaimuki, one of Honolulu’s most vibrant (and oldest) communities, and is a stone’s throw from Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach.
Kaimuki boasts a mix of old and new—businesses housed in buildings with their original mid-century façades alongside newer construction. And among Kaimuki’s business tenants are some of the island’s best and up-and-coming eateries (choose from Thai to vegan to modern Americana); an eclectic mix of antique stores and boutiques; yoga and ukulele studios; and even a movie museum that features Hollywood classics.
Jump-start your career
Whether you know exactly which career you’d like to pursue or you’re still eyeing your options, Chaminade is here to help.

Plus, need a little help with a tricky subject? The Tutoring Center offers one-on-one assistance, online tutoring, and test administration.
In short, we’re here to make sure you get everything you need to be a successful student on the way to a successful and fulfilling career.
A higher education with a higher purpose
Learning through service is so central to Chaminade, we consider it our mission in action. In fact, we’ve been recognized locally and nationally for our commitment to service learning—ensuring that thoughtful, meaningful service opportunities are entwined in our teaching.
To students, that means hands-on community projects aimed at improving people’s lives. It means making a difference and learning along the way. It means getting experiences—life experiences, educational experiences—that offer opportunities for growth and reflection.
Our students serve as mentors in neighborhood elementary schools. They restore Native Hawaiian natural and cultural sites. They volunteer at community homeless shelters, offering tutoring to children and facilitating parent engagement. They offer free tax preparation assistance to low-income families.
They learn not only by doing but by helping.
