Discover your passion
At Pacific University undergraduates who are interested in the health professions find a rich foundation in the liberal arts and sciences that supports their future endeavors. Students from all over the world come to Pacific University for its personal, nurturing learning environment. Undergraduates choose from more than 60 fields of study, including Exercise Science, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Public Health, and more. Pacific offers pre-professional and pre-med tracks for undergraduates, as well as a professional bachelor’s degree program in Dental Hygiene. Students learn from faculty members who are dedicated teachers and mentors. Students are encouraged to participate in laboratory research and field work alongside their professors. Undergraduates have access to professional-level facilities and equipment, and several courses in the natural sciences work closely with the University’s graduate programs.
Live the Boxer spirit
Inspired by our mascot, Boxer—an ancient Chinese statue that appears to be part dog, part dragon—Pacific University students embrace a spirit of diversity, inclusion, service, and fun. Students enjoy the close community that comes from a small residential campus. Pacific’s 60+ student interest groups include pre-professional clubs and societies in the health fields, as well as academic societies, service clubs, and an active Greek system. Pacific University participates in NCAA Division III Northwest Conference athletics, with 24 varsity teams, as well as junior varsity, intramural, and club sports. Students make the most of adventures in the Pacific Northwest outdoors, whether at the beach or Mount Hood, both just an hour from campus.
