Here, 99% of tenured faculty members hold the highest degree in their field. SLU students collaborate with premier scholars and researchers and conduct research that transforms their disciplines and the lives of others. Six months after graduation, 94% of our students are working, volunteering, or attending graduate or professional school.

In 1967, the University established a campus in Madrid, Spain. It was the first US university to be recognized by Madrid’s Ministry of Education as an institution of higher education in the province. SLU-Madrid offers a complete range of undergraduate programs as well as two graduate degrees.

International Student Services: SLU’s Office of International Services (OIS) supports international students, scholars, and employees as well as students who wish to study abroad. OIS promotes international student success and a global perspective for the University community.

International Student Budget: Estimated undergraduate cost of tuition and living expenses for one academic year: $70,000

Financial Aid: International undergraduate applicants are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships. Students interested in being considered for need-based financial aid should submit the College Board’s CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE.

Test Score Requirements: For direct entry into an academic program, all international applicants are required to demonstrate English proficiency. Students who don’t meet the minimum English proficiency requirements can apply for a pathway or academic English program through INTO-Saint Louis University.

Application Deadlines and Fees: SLU’s Nursing, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy programs have an application deadline of December 1; all other undergraduate applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Undergraduate students can apply at slu.edu/apply or via the Common Application. There is no application fee for undergraduate applications.
