The Milton Fisher Scholarship is not a traditional scholarship focused on rewarding academic achievement and financial need. Its specific goal is to reward and encourage innovative and creative problem-solving by honoring students who excel as creative problem-solvers and helping make their higher education goals more accessible. This scholarship seeks students who have developed a new or unusual solution to an artistic, scientific or technical problem faced by their family, school or community. Applicants must be high school seniors or first year college students (previously high school juniors could apply). Applicants must be a resident of Connecticut or the New York City Metropolitan area and planning to attend school in the U.S, OR a resident of any U.S state and are planning to attend a school in Connecticut or the NYC Metro area.
