Welcome to the Cowboy family
Founded on the land-grant mission, Oklahoma State University values and cares about people. OSU has held true to that mission for 130 years by welcoming students and providing them with a feeling of home from the first moment they set foot on campus.
An energetic university at the heart of “America's friendliest college town,” OSU is growing in many ways—from the addition of new campus buildings and growing enrollment to historic levels of giving aimed at helping students succeed. The future is bright at America’s friendliest college campus.
With several new and renovated buildings, students continue to enjoy access to state-of-the-art facilities, like our 250,000-sq. ft. Colvin Recreation Center or the McKnight Center for the Performing Arts—which opened with orange carpeted fanfare and an unforgettable performance by the New York Philharmonic.
From academics to athletics to the arts, whatever you’re looking for is waiting for you at Oklahoma State University.
How to get started at OSU
With five academic colleges and more than 200 degree programs available to students, OSU will help you discover your calling. Students can find a major that fuels their passion and leads them to a rewarding career.
Students have the opportunity to challenge themselves with a rigorous academic program that provides smaller, discussion-based classes in our Honors College. They also participate in research alongside faculty members in any area of study beginning as early as their freshman year with the Freshman Research Scholar program, an opportunity offered at select campuses around the country.
With advising in Pre-health, Pre-law, and Pre-veterinary Studies, OSU can help you create a plan to continue your education. OSU’s Center for Veterinary Health Sciences tops the rankings in value when it comes to the cost of an education in Veterinary Medicine. The OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine consistently ranks among the best medical allopathic and osteopathic schools in the country as well.
OSU helps students prepare for life after graduation by helping them find great career opportunities through OSU Career Services.
