Kutztown University of Pennsylvania is a public university. It was founded as a teacher training school in 1866, became a state college in 1960, and gained university status in 1983. Programs are offered through the Colleges of Business, Education, Graduate Studies, Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Visual and Performing Arts.
