Located in Austin, Texas, our small, dynamic University allows learners to utilize all the resources the professors and campus have to offer while engaging with innumerable opportunities for experiential learning and personal growth. Approachable, collaborative, and supportive, we stress the values of meaningful work and lifelong learning. We are recognized for our integrity, academic excellence, and Lutheran ethos.
CTX and you
CTX students come from many different parts of the world, including from overseas. Regardless of who you are or where you come from, Concordia has a place for you to learn and grow. Our vision is to foster an environment where Christ is honored and all are welcome. Our students also come from many different faith backgrounds, and conversations about faith are welcome. Students who come to CTX will find there is less censorship on these issues rather than more, and critical intellectual engagement is encouraged inside and outside the classroom.
As we’ve grown, CTX has continually evolved to meet the needs ofits ever-changing student body. We have recently been designated as a Hispanic-Serving Institution, with more than 30% of our undergraduate students identifying as Hispanic. We host regular sessions designed to provide specialized support to first-generation students, such as our annual Generation 1 social.
We offer innovative curriculum delivery, allowing our students to choose from a variety of modalities that include traditional on-campus, online, and evening classes. Professors, staff, and fellow students are all part of the network of support that will help you reach your goals as a student at CTX.
The CTX difference
We enroll, retain, and graduate students who are leaders in the classroom and in their communities. Students of diverse ages and cultures experience a quality, Christ-centered Lutheran education. With the purpose of cultivating goodness, beauty, and truth, we believe the adventure of faith, learning, and life-changing experiences leads to meaningful work.

A liberal arts education
Our liberal arts education model promotes a broad foundation of knowledge and further develops intellectual engagement. Students learn not only what to study but how to learn, going beyond the boundaries of the classroom and engaging with visiting scholars and lecturers, service learning opportunities, study abroad programs, and a variety of creative pursuits. These experiences provide a multifaceted opportunity to teach, model, practice, and recognize Christian leadership—invaluable skills that serve our graduates for the rest of their lives.
