Pell-eligible, first-generation, incoming freshmen attending a Catholic high school in the Archdiocese of Newark who are enrolled full-time for each semester of attendance at Seton Hall. The Joseph W. Cardinal Tobin Scholarship is a competitive scholarship awarded annually to one admitted incoming freshman who is a Pell-eligible, first-generation student who attended a Catholic high school in the Archdiocese of Newark.This award was created to commemorate the Imposition of the Pallium of His Eminence Joseph William Cardinal Tobin, C.Ss.R., the Archbishop of Newark. No application required, automatically awarded to one eligible student annually in the late spring as long as the application for admission is submitted by the January 15 deadline.
