The New York Times recently named Nashville the new “it” city. Music City boasts many professional and college sports teams, municipal parks and greenways, and amazing Southern cuisine. For the arts-minded, there is always something exciting at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, Ascend Amphitheatre, Country Music Hall of Fame, and Frist Center for the Visual Arts. Music and theatre performance are a vital part of our campus community. Trevecca recently opened the Jackson Center for Music and Worship Arts, a state-of-the-art music building that houses a myriad of classes for music majors and minors. Whether you’re interested in teaching music, songwriting, performing, leading worship, working in the music industry, or anything in between, we have a program that meets your needs. Our programs will help you develop your talents and reach your goals. Plus, there’s no better place to study music than Music City, USA. Our Christian community within the city of Nashville provides a safe haven for spiritual and personal growth, as well as vocational discernment.

Trevecca’s dramatic arts program is for those who want to study all varieties of theatre, including acting, design, directing, and theatre history. We also offer theatre education. Trevecca students stage three productions annually. Typically at least one of these productions will be a musical with sold-out performances. As part of these productions, it’s not unusual for Trevecca to draw upon local, experienced directors in the entertainment industry for directing and coaching. Whether you want to be center stage or behind the scenes, you can get involved in theatre at Trevecca.

In addition, we encourage our students to expand their learning outside the classroom. There are many opportunities for internships, research projects, mission trips, and community engagement at Trevecca. Community service is a key factor of experiential learning at Trevecca. Many students take advantage of local Nashville programs and urban ministries.
