This is what college is meant to be

The founders of Hillsdale College set out to provide “a literary, scientific, and theological education” combined with “such moral and social instruction as will best develop the minds and improve the hearts of its pupils.” Through our rigorous core curriculum, you’ll study the great ideas and thinkers that have defined Western Civilization from ancient times to the present. You’ll strengthen your faith as you engage in respectful dialogue with students of other faith traditions and participate in student-led religious services and activities. You’ll shape your character through the vast array of student life organizations and community service opportunities. You’ll find that the education you receive at Hillsdale gives you the freedom to pursue a multitude of paths after graduation. A Hillsdale education equips you to not only lead but to live—live a good life in your home, your workplace, and your community.

An Inside Look

    • Garrett West ’15
  • “Hillsdale has given me an opportunity to walk in the footsteps of masters, formulate my own conclusions, and learn how to think.”

    • Aaron Andrews ’19
  • “My Hillsdale education has given me an understanding of how ideas connect, and it helped me find my niche.”

    • Breana Noble ’18
  • “Hillsdale’s professors and coaches help you find opportunities to grow from a challenge. You become more capable, more willing to give yourself to others. It’s really true that strength rejoices in the challenge.”
