In most professions today, a bachelor’s degree is simply the first point of entry. A master’s degree or post-baccalaureate certificate can broaden your options, advance your career trajectory, and demonstrate to prospective employers that you’re committed to long-term professional growth and success.

Graduate study at Rider involves more than earning an advanced degree: our goal is to ensure that you are armed with the essential knowledge, skills, best practices, and networking connections to rise to the next step professionally—whether you’re just beginning your career, transitioning to a new field, or advancing in your current job.

And because graduate programs at our University are built around six key areas of excellence—business, communication, education, homeland security, music, and psychology—you can be confident of receiving outstanding professional preparation and an engaged learning experience.

Outstanding teaching, ideal location
Rider’s faculty members are passionate about their disciplines and committed to closely collaborating with graduate students. They are distinguished authors, educators, scholars, scientists, performing artists, and researchers; 97% hold a doctorate or highest degree in their field. Our graduate classes are deliberately small in number to promote close student-faculty interaction and dialogue.

Our 280-acre main campus in Lawrenceville enrolls 4,100 undergraduates and 950 graduate students. Our 23-acre Princeton campus—home to Rider’s world-famous Westminster Choir College—enrolls 300 undergraduate and 100 graduate students in an intimate, conservatory-like atmosphere.

Located less than an hour from both Philadelphia and New York City, our strategic location enables us to attract guest lecturers and adjunct faculty who are among the best in their fields to share with you their insights and advice. These two economic powerhouses also give you convenient access to employment opportunities in virtually every area of business, finance, communications, education, government, health care, social and community services, and the arts.

You’ll also make enduring professional contacts in your career of interest through our well-connected faculty and alumni—as well as the full support of Rider’s career services professionals.

Flexible and competitively priced
Our flexible scheduling allows you to work full or part time while pursuing your degree. You’ll find that your classmates bring diverse academic and professional backgrounds to the classroom. And if you’re planning to enroll full time, Rider offers a variety of graduate assistantships and work-study opportunities. Our programs are competitively priced, and Rider also offers convenient payment plans and corporate deferment options.

Rider University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and holds specialized accreditation with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), and the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM). Our internationally renowned Westminster Choir College is considered one of the world’s leading schools of music.
