Lectures, demonstrations and hands-on experiments introduce NNC students to the study of the brain and nervous system. Participants conduct electrophysiology and neuropharmacology experiments, dissect a sheep brain, use computer simulation to dissect a human brain and learn to record electrical activity. The week includes visits to a local hospital's active neuroscience laboratories and imaging and scanning facilities.
