Children at the camp, which is held at Eagle Lake Camp in the Pike National Forest, participate in a camping program while learning diabetes management. Staff address diabetic lifestyle issues through discussion of nutrition, exercise, emotional well-being and glucose control. Two programs operate each summer: a traditional recreational camp and a teen camp that combines recreational activities with adventure pursuits.
