For beginning to advanced riders, the equestrian program at Camp Friendship provides intensive instruction and experience with horses for campers interested in refining their skills in many phases of horsemanship, progressing from fundamentals to the finer points of equitation. The program includes daily mounted lessons and recreational riding, participation in a camp show, lectures and demonstrations, and opportunities for older campers to teach beginning recreational riders from the general camp. A group of accomplished equestrians is selected for a show team that trains, studies, works and lives together.
