SCAD conducts two residential arts programs for high schoolers. Rising Star, which serves rising seniors, enables students to enroll in two college-level classes while also building or enhancing their visual arts portfolios. Successful completion of the session results in college credit for use at SCAD or another institution. Field trips and excursions to area parks and attractions enrich the program. For pupils entering grades 10-12, the Summer Seminars program consists of weeklong educational workshops in Savannah and Atlanta.
