St. George's School Geronimo Program

Participants in the program learn sailing and navigation skills aboard a 70-foot vessel in the Atlantic Ocean. Students stand watch, navigate, perform sail maneuvers, steer, cook and clean as responsibilities progress over the course of the voyage. Affiliations with research organizations provide opportunities for marine science research. Voyages depart from or arrive in Newport, RI, and itineraries vary from year to year. No prior sailing experience is necessary.
