Brown University SPARK Program

Designed for middle schoolers who have demonstrated noteworthy ability in science, SPARK provides students with an intellectual examination of concepts and familiar topics. Boys and girls attend class for four hours each morning, then take part in lab sessions or embark on field trips on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. While the main program lasts for one week, a special two-week program focuses on the ecology of Narragansett Bay. This noncompetitive program features no tests or grades. Extracurricular activities and social events balance academics.
